For many of us, 2016 was not a great year. Between the stock market and the bitter political landscape there wasn't much left to look back upon fondly. But what a great opportunity for a fresh start and a resurgence of optimism. So cheers to 2017!
As we look forward to this new year, ClassJuggler is planning some grand improvements in 2017 starting with a complete overhaul of the customer self-service center. While we've made incremental improvements to this system over the years, it is really time for a full-blown overhaul and redesign of this very useful add-on. Amongst the main enhancements will be a completely mobile friendly design and the ability to handle drop-in/try-out classes and instant enrollments (no approval necessary). Other features we are planning are a time-clock feature for tracking your employees' time, and a recital management module for our dance clients.
If you or your business is on one of the popular social websites, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, or Google+, you can link up to ClassJuggler's social media sites, and here's 6 good reasons to do so.
Did you know that you can manage class attendance by skill? Skills-based attendance lets you to not only track whether or not a student attended a class on a particular date and time but also track what type of skill the student trained for on that date. Skills may also have multiple quantities, allowing you to track attendance and training for the same skill for several dates. Once set up, ClassJuggler will automatically choose for you the correct attendance management screen based on the type of attendance you select for managing the class. You can also track multiples of each skill you need a student to train for to allow the student to reach individual skill totals as well as an overall class skill total requirement.
The Manage Attendance By Skill feature has two screens:
The student selection screen, shown here on the right, shows the list of enrolled students, dropped students (if selected), and other attendees scheduled up to a month before and after the selected date and time.
After you select a student from the Select Student Screen, you will see the Manage Attendance By Skill screen, where you select a date and time for a class and then choose the skill trained at that date and time for the selected student. See a sample skill screen for an enrolled student in Figure 2 below.
This article is only a brief introduction to managing skill with attendance. Get much more detailed instructions from the ClassJuggler Online Help Guide.
